Marine Hull and Cargo Insurance

The QIC Marine policy is designed to cover both the hull and cargo.

The hull principally deals with the insurance of ship, whilst our cargo policy covers goods carried in a ship. The cargo policy is essentially designed to cover accidental loss or damage to goods carried on board. It is either a time or voyage policy covering risks from warehouse to warehouse.

Two main types of cargo covers are issued:

• Open covers basically for large schedule cargo, imports or/and exports. This gives the importer the chance to have every shipment covered.

• Interim covers for one or few cargo importers or exporters.
