Ms. Petrina Eileen Frimpong, Esq. is an accomplished corporate legal professional with 15 years’ experience at the Ghana Bar having begun her professional career first in 1992 with a pioneering information technology company (Advanced Computer Systems, Ltd) in the emerging ICT industry as an executive after graduating from KNUST with a Bachelor of Arts in English & Sociology, before embarking on her legal education to pursue a career as a Solicitor & Barrister at Law. She obtained an LLB (Bachelor of Laws at the University of Ghana Legon and Qualifying Law Certificate from Ghana School of Law). She was called to the Bar in year 2007.
She has spent her entire career in the Financial Industry, beginning with roles as Legal Officer for Intercontinental Bank, PLC and then Bank of Africa Ghana Limited, where she held key positions of Head of Credit Administration and Assistant to the Head of the Legal department. She was head hunted to UBA Ghana Limited to assume the position of Head of Legal & Company Secretary and currently serves as Head of Legal and Company Secretary at Ecobank Ghana’s wholly owned subsidiary, Pan African Savings & Loans Limited.
Additionally, Petrina serves as Company Secretary of Quality Insurance Company (QIC), a position she’s held since 2010 and is Board Member of QFTL (Quality Life Financial Trust Ltd.).
Petrina is a proud product of Holy Child School (HOPSA member), a devout Catholic, widely read, with interests in Current Affairs, World Politics and Sports. She is married with an adolescent son.
