Rashid is a Chartered Insurer and a Lawyer. Rashid started his professional risk management career in Railway Engineering as a Safety Critical Personnel in the UK and transitioned into the Insurance industry.

He is presently the Head of Legal at Quality Insurance Company Limited (QIC), where he is responsible for all legal matters, inclusive of Bonds, Bodily Injury and Death claims. He has at various times at QIC, worked as the Head of Technical Operations, Head of Underwriting and Reinsurance and Head of Material Damage Claims. In addition, he has litigation experience, having previously worked in a Law firm with a strong litigation practice.

Rashid is an alumnus of the University of Ghana where he graduated with BA(Hons) Sociology with Political Science; University of Leicester, UK, where he achieved an MBA(Finance); Chartered Insurance Institute, UK, where he qualified as a Chartered Insurance Practitioner; University of London, UK where he graduated with Bachelor of Laws (LLB); and The Ghana School of Law, where he was awarded the Qualifying Certificate in Law (BL).
